Good Day Farm achieved a historic milestone today with its flower sold to a medical cannabis patient in Oxford, Mississippi, marking the state’s first legal medical cannabis sale. This momentous occasion coincides with the company’s statewide launch, celebrated by a Grand Opening event at Good Day Farm Hattiesburg on Friday, January 27.
Mississippi’s Cannabis Landscape
As the fourth state where Good Day Farm operates—joining Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri—Mississippi represents a significant expansion for the company. The flower sold today was cultivated in Good Day Farm’s 130,000 square-foot facility, making it a landmark event almost one year post the enactment of the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act.
Ryan Herget, Head of Good Day Farm Retail Management, expressed pride at this achievement, stating, “As a proud Ole Miss alumnus, I’m elated to make our premium cannabis flower the first product available to patients in Mississippi.” With six dispensaries planned across the state, from the Tennessee border to the Gulf Coast, Good Day Farm aims to serve thousands of eligible patients with quality products grown by dedicated professionals.
Product Offerings and Expansion Plans
Good Day Farm’s signature line of flower strains is currently available, with plans to introduce a full range of products including edibles, vapes, and tinctures, featuring popular items like award-winning THC gummies and rechargeable Go Pen vaporizers.
The upcoming Grand Opening in Hattiesburg will kick off the first of six planned Good Day Farm-branded dispensaries, with future locations in Biloxi, Brookhaven, Corinth, Laurel, and Tupelo. The dispensaries will cater to card-holding medical patients, operating Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Commitment to Community
In addition to its sales efforts, Good Day Farm is committed to giving back to the communities it serves, exemplified by the donation of 840 cases of drinking water aiding disaster relief initiatives in Jackson.
Zach Wilson, Head of Mississippi Operations, noted the extensive preparation leading to today’s milestone, stating, “We’re proud to bring Good Day Farm to market as the first brand available to Mississippi patients.” He emphasized the company’s dedication to cannabis advocacy, education, job creation, and charitable contributions as part of their long-term pledge to Mississippi.
