Good Day Farm’s Historic Launch in Mississippi
OXFORD, Miss. — Good Day Farm, a prominent player in the Southern cannabis industry, achieved a landmark milestone today with the sale of its cannabis flower to a medical patient in Oxford, Mississippi. This purchase marks the first legal medical cannabis transaction in the state, nearly a year after the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act was enacted.
“As a proud Ole Miss alumnus, I’m elated to make our premium cannabis flower the first product available to patients in Mississippi,” stated Ryan Herget, Head of Good Day Farm Retail Management. “As one of the largest cannabis companies in the South, it’s a privilege to serve the thousands of patients across Mississippi with quality products grown and sold by dedicated individuals. With six dispensaries from the Tennessee border to the Gulf Coast, we are eager to meet the needs of this community.”
Expansion of Operations and Product Offerings
Good Day Farm is now the fourth state for the Little-Rock based company, which also operates in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri. The company’s signature flower strains are available for purchase, with plans to introduce a full range of products including edibles, vapes, and tinctures—featuring award-winning THC gummies and a popular rechargeable vaporizer.
The first Good Day Farm-branded dispensary will open in Hattiesburg, followed by locations in Biloxi, Brookhaven, Corinth, Laurel, and Tupelo. These dispensaries will operate Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, serving card-holding medical patients.
To celebrate this significant occasion, the Grand Opening event at Good Day Farm Hattiesburg is set for this Friday, January 27. This celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m., followed by the store opening at 10:00 a.m., with branded merchandise giveaways available while supplies last.
Commitment to Community and Growth
With the commencement of legal medical sales, Good Day Farm anticipates rapid expansion of its Mississippi operations, intending to double its cultivation and production capabilities within the next year. The company is dedicated to community support, having recently donated 840 cases of drinking water to aid disaster relief efforts in Jackson.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to prepare for this milestone moment,” said Zach Wilson, Head of Mississippi Operations. “We are proud to bring Good Day Farm to market as the first brand available to Mississippi patients. Through advocacy, education, and charitable initiatives, we are committed to making a positive impact in Mississippi for years to come.”
